Why should we learn a foreign language?

Educational – Learning a foreign language is especially effective at an early age. Economic – In a globalized world characterized by international links and intercultural connections, linguistic skills are crucial for employment and career. The knowledge of foreign languages increases job opportunities in many careers where knowing another language is a real asset.

Spanish - More than 400 million people share this language which is the official language in 20 countries, without counting the million people who use Spanish on a regular basis in the United States. It is a language experiencing a period of major expansion and it is estimated that by the middle of the 21st century, close to 500 million people will be speaking Spanish throughout the world.

French - It is the native language of 75 million people in Europe, North Africa, Quebec and parts of Asia and South America. French is the official language in more than 40 countries. It is spoken as a second language by 100 to 200 million more internationally.

Mandarin- Mandarin is the national language of China and Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world. More than one billion of the world’s population are Chinese speakers. Learning Mandarin is more than learning a language, it enables you to explore one of the most ancient culture of the world. Chinese language is expected to become a new global language in the new millennium.
