Why should we learn a foreign language?

Educational – Learning a foreign language is especially effective at an early age. It greatly benefits reading and writing in one’s own language; there is evidence that it contributes significantly to the development of individual intelligence. It has a positive effect on intellectual growth and it enriches and enhances mental development.

Economic – In a globalized world characterized by international links and intercultural connections, linguistic skills are crucial for employment and career. The knowledge of foreign languages increases job opportunities in many careers where knowing another language is a real asset.

It is a language experiencing a period of major expansion and it is estimated that by the middle of the 21st century, close to 500 million people will be speaking Spanish throughout the world.

French - It is the native language of 275 million people in Europe, Africa,
Caribbean, South America, and Asia. French is the official language in more than 40 countries.

Mandarin- Mandarin is the national language of China and Chinese is the most widely spoken language in the world, 1.2 billion people speak
Chinese. More than one billion of the world’s population are Chinese speakers. Learning Mandarin is more than learning a language, it enables you to explore one of the most ancient culture of the world. Chinese language is expected to become a new global language in the new millennium.
